Privacy Policy

Hidden Value ("the Extension") is operated by Digital Origin Pty Ltd ("we", "us"). This policy explains how the Extension handles your data.

You're in control

The Extension does nothing until you tell it which sites to monitor. It only measures how long you spend on those specific sites — it doesn't see, read, or record the content of any page, and it has no visibility into the rest of your browsing.

All of this data — your tracked sites, time spent, goals, streaks, and settings — is stored locally in your browser using Chrome's built-in storage. It never leaves your device unless you create an account.

Anonymous usage analytics

We send anonymous events to Mixpanel (e.g., "onboarding completed", "sidebar opened") so we can understand how people use the Extension and improve it. These events are tied to a randomly generated ID — not your name, email, or browsing history. No page content or site URLs are included.

Accounts and sign-in (optional)

If you choose to sign in with Google to access Pro features, we receive your name and email address through Google's OAuth. This is stored in our database (Supabase, hosted on AWS) alongside your subscription status. We use this only to manage your account and subscription.

Payments

Payments are handled entirely by Stripe. We never see, handle, or store your credit card number, bank details, or other payment credentials. We only receive confirmation of whether a payment succeeded or failed.

What we don't do

• We don't track your browsing on sites you haven't explicitly added.
• We don't read or store the content of any web page.
• We don't sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
• We don't use your data to build advertising profiles.
• We don't serve ads anywhere in the Extension.

Where data lives

Tracking data, settings, and goals: locally in your browser via Chrome's storage API. Account and subscription data (if signed in): Supabase (AWS). Analytics events: Mixpanel. Payments: Stripe.

Data retention and deletion

Local data stays in your browser until you uninstall the Extension or clear Chrome's storage — we have no access to it. If you create an account, your profile data is kept while your account exists. To request deletion of your account data, email privacy@gethiddenvalue.com.

Children's privacy

The Extension is not intended for anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top and note the changes. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
